PORTFOLIOS

It is my attempt in these paintings to express the interconnectedness between human consciousness and nature, thus blurring the distinction between self and the world: consciousness cannot be bound.
I stand immersed in a forest of birdsong. There are nuances of colour, barely breathed, ascending, descending, receding. Volume, texture, variety, harmony, dimension, depth, crescendo, tempo, rhythm. A polyphony of sound rushes in. Life resonates, being, participating, relational, vibrations, weaving in and out of dimensions with glimpses to the beyond. It is an encounter with a vital presence.

And so, in the words of Rainer Maria Rilke: 'Silently the birds fly through us still.'
